Extracosmic Commons

A semantic search engine over the show’s own transcripts and sources — used live, on air. Not a sponsor read; the show’s method made visible.

Every episode cites its work. Extracosmic Commons (EC/ZR) is how that gets done in real time: a search you query in your own words, over the corpus the show has built — its transcripts, and the philosophical, historical, and cultural sources behind them.

Think of it as a library catalogue for a conversation that sources its claims — not a chatbot that answers for you, but an index that puts the passage in front of you so you can read it and place it yourself. When a claim is made on air, the locus is one query away.

It exists because the show’s stance requires it: an argument that AI-assisted thought can stay careful — that the tools can raise the standard of sourcing rather than erode it — has to be demonstrated, not asserted.

Try it

A live search over the corpus is coming to this page. For now, here’s what it does and why it’s built the way it is.
